Up-cycling of Byproducts
At Al Barakah Dates Factory, we repurpose byproducts like date seeds, skins, and fibres into useful products such as Date Seed Coffee, powder, animal feed, and compost. This upcycling approach reduces waste, adds value, and supports a circular economy—turning every part of the date into something purposeful.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
At Al Barakah Dates Factory, our commitment to sustainability extends to how we manage and reuse water. All water used in our production process is channeled through an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), where it undergoes a thorough treatment process to reach irrigation-grade quality.
This treated gray water is then used to irrigate the landscaping around the facility, significantly reducing water waste and supporting a more self-sufficient, eco-friendly environment. It’s a closed-loop approach that reflects our broader aim of becoming a zero-waste facility—where every input is maximized, and nothing is discarded without purpose.
Community Support
